Mundane Daily Habits

So when I'm not eating out or cooking up a storm, things are, uh, well, different. Here's what I had yesterday:

Breakfast: 2 eggs over easy. Multi-grain and flax toast. Earth balance and sel gris. Yes, I use earth balance on a daily basis in place of butter. Cyril Renaud of Fleur de Sel talked about how he sent back 20 pounds of that stuff to his purist father in France!

Lunch: Cauliflower and cannellini bean soup with that same toast and spread.

Post-workout snack: Cottage cheese and chives on rye toast with a protein shake.

Dinner: Eggplant parm.

Snack: Stonyfield Farm Organic Fat Free French Vanilla Yogurt (decent!) Parfait with diced peaches, craisins, and granola.

Nick! the daily habits, i love it. what is earth balance? i need some background...the cottage cheese and chives on toast sounds awesome. my mom used to give us cottage cheese on pumpernickel toast, and it was blaze. i personally love yogurt but can't do fat free...the thicker, the better :)

i thought this was Dan posting when i first started reading! i think it's really interesting to see what people eat on average days (presumably the days when they don't post on the blog). so way to step up and throw it out there. i'll have to look into the earth balance... what kind of protein shake?

Thanks guys!!

Earth Balance is a quality non-hydrogenated, non-dairy butter substitute. You can buy it in any health food aisle. Even without praising its healthfulness, it's by far the best tasting butter substitute out there. Seriously. Understandably though, its downfall is in making sauces. Nothing but real butter will help you there!

The protein shake is just GNC's strawberry "soy protein 95" with fresh fruit and milk blended together.
